OM60 STUDIO BOXES
Everything had to fit - not just the essentials, but the core of a practice.
The first box became the drawing board: a horizontal surface for drawing and model making, a compact operational unit. The second and third box formed our library and archive: material samples, architectural journals and magazines, sketchbooks, stationery, past and ongoing projects’ portfolios - a layered record of thinking and making.
Together, they carried identity, memory, and project methodology - mobile, on wheels.
From Maida Vale, London to Omirou, Athens…the studio became portable.
This is a study of the minimum.
What defines the spatial footprint of an architecture studio? What is necessary, and for how long?
How much space does thought require? What format - A4, A3, A0?
How does a studio grow, adapt or shrink? How quickly? How flexibly?
And when does it need to move again?
