TABLE 01
A single object, shaped by movement.
The kitchen island -part table, part workstation- acts as both anchor and passage within a tight domestic geometry. Designed to accommodate food preparation and shared meals, it stands at the intersection of the kitchen and living space.
Its form responds directly to the spatial needs: the flow of bodies, the angles of entry, the quiet rituals of everyday use. Leaf-like in plan, the island is composed of two distinct materials: a white lacquered base that captures and diffuses light, and a thick iroko wood top, hand-carved, solid, hovering, warm to the touch.
